Easy Tonkotsu Ramen

| Instant tonkotsu ramen | 1 packet |
| Water | as directed |
| Toppings | |
| Chashu pork | 1-2 slices |
| Boiled egg | 1 |
| Green onion | as needed |
| Wood ear mushroom (kikurage) | as needed |
| Leafy greens (komatsuna or spinach) | a small amount |
| Shredded red chili pepper | a little |
| White sesame seeds | to taste |
| Fried garlic | to taste |
| Pickled red ginger | to taste |
Directions

Make the boiled egg (hard-boiled, about ). Briefly blanch the leafy greens and drain. Chop the green onion.

Bring the directed amount of water to a boil in a pot. Add the noodles and cook for the directed time. Stir in the soup base.

Transfer to a bowl and top with chashu, boiled egg, green onion, wood ear mushroom, leafy greens, shredded chili pepper, and other toppings as desired.
Notes & Tips
Even with instant noodles, generous toppings make it look and taste like the real deal. Making the boiled egg the day before saves time.
